The Somali Forum provides advice, information, interpreting and translation, mentoring, Form filling, letter writing, youth sport activities, sewing machine classes and general signposting in terms of education, housing, resettlement, welfare benefits, employment and training.

The Somali Forum office is daily used by the Somali people who require different help for example form filling, letter writing, telephoning on their behalf by interpreting and translating, advice, information, and general signposting. Estimated 6-10 people are seen every day at the office and number requiring help is also increasing and now operate via appointment basis only and need to make an appointment to be seen in order to effectively manage and organise attendants.

The Somali Forum have achieved to directly consult and find out the needs of the Somali people through holding meetings, conferences and events.

The Somali Forum has managed to develop services for the wider Somali community Women, youths and Men from the current location and out side this location. The Somali Forum will continue to develop services that directly will benefit the wider Somali people living Northamptonshire.

We have recruited a fundraising and development consultant for the Somali Forum to further develop the needs of the Somali people and raise awareness to you all about the continuous development and progress of the Somali Forum both the organisation level and the people through this newsletter. Therefore, there are many more services to come in the future to be able to better integrate and be part of cohesive community and growing multicultural society in Northamptonshire.

We are always looking for volunteers to improve our standards and would kindly expect you to join us to help and support the Somali community. The Somali Forum has a volunteer recruitment policy which allows the organisation to practice and recruit volunteers to actively involve the development of Forum and help and support the community. The volunteer will have the opportunity to be fully trained and gain knowledge and experience in the voluntary organisation and sector.
